Triton is Neptune's largest moon and the only big moon in our solar system that orbits backwards. TRITON is a white sphere of concrete and lava rock on its own pedestal, cracked like that moon's frozen surface and carrying a brass Dirty Roots plate. A sago palm rises from the top, from a plant family older than the dinosaurs.
Each sphere takes several weeks to make by hand in Berlin. Some of the plants in this collection have been growing for three to five years.
Collection: WANDERERS, no. 5 of 9. One of one.
Materials: concrete, lava rock, brass plate
Sphere: 18 cm diameter, with drainage hole, on its own pedestal
Plant: sago palm, a small trailing plant
Care: bright light, even a little direct sun; let the soil dry out between waterings
In the box: dripping tray and a handwritten note signed by Adam
Delivery: comes planted, ships within Germany only
