Didymos is a twin asteroid. In 2022 NASA flew a spacecraft into its small moon on purpose, to test whether an asteroid can be pushed off course. DIDYMOS is a pair of old lamp housings turned into glass capsules, each holding a small sphere of concrete and lava rock: a dark one with an aloe, a pale one with a jade plant.
Each sphere takes several weeks to make by hand in Berlin. Some of the plants in this collection have been growing for three to five years.
Collection: WANDERERS, no. 3 of 9. One of one.
Materials: concrete, lava rock, two old lamp housings
Size: capsules roughly 23 cm and 18 cm tall
Plant: aloe, jade plant
Care: bright light; let the soil dry out between waterings. The glass domes unscrew for watering and fresh air.
In the box: a handwritten note signed by Adam
Sold as: one set of two
Delivery: comes planted, ships within Germany only
