You don’t need to be ‘fixed’ to start

by Myriam:)

People often told me: “Work on yourself first, before doing anything.” As if I needed to be healed, complete, or perfect to move forward. But who is ever really ready?

The truth is: no one is. Life leaves marks. Experiences shape us. But that doesn’t mean we should stay stuck. We learn by living.

You don’t learn how to swim by just studying water. Even though people told me to wait…

Even though I still feel fragile sometimes, not ready… I went anyway. I traveled alone. I saw the world. And I realized most things aren’t as scary or serious as we think. That’s how growth happens: by doing, by trying, by showing up. It reminds me of the Dirty Roots Berlin spheres.

They aren’t perfect. They’re raw, a little rough, and each one is different. But they hold life. They let plants grow. They’re strong in their own way. Before creating a sphere, we think about the materials. We choose what fits. A little planning, yes.

But it’s in the making in the real, messy process that the beauty appears. It’s the same with us. You can feel broken. Lost. Still figuring it out. But you can already begin. You can create. Travel. Build. Love.

You don’t need to be fixed.
