BERLIN, 2018
Dirty Roots began with one idea: the planter should be as beautiful as the plant inside it. Maybe more. Everywhere we looked, extraordinary living things sat in containers nobody had thought twice about. We couldn't unsee it.
So we started making our own. Handcrafted sphere planters and sculptural displays, built one layer at a time in Berlin, inspired by the furthest reaches of the cosmos. Concrete, lava-stone, strange little worlds. Every piece a work of art, shaped by curiosity instead of rules.
Some landed on tables, some on bookshelves. Most became the first thing people asked about when they walked into a room. The idea never changed. The plant deserves better. So do you.
ADAM COTORCEANU
Nature has always inspired me—not perfect gardens, but forgotten places where plants quietly reclaim the world. Those moments showed me that beauty often grows where it's least expected. That idea became the foundation of Dirty Roots. I began creating sphere planters inspired by celestial forms, combining art, nature, and contemporary design. Today, Dirty Roots is more than handcrafted planters. It's a creative platform that celebrates individuality, artistic expression, and the freedom to let both plants and people grow naturally.
“Our way of growing isn't for everyone. That's exactly the point.”
